I CAN training courses - ongoing

The I CAN charity promotes the integration of speech and language therapy and education and collaborative practice. It runs a wide range of courses for professionals working with children with speech, language and communication (SLC) difficulties. I-CAN has also reviewed and developed all courses in the light of the 2002 publication of the Joint Professional Development Framework (JPDF) - a major step forward in enabling teachers and therapists to train and work together. Courses are held in eight venues across the UK and workplace training is also available. Standard fees are £60 for a half day course; £140 for a full day. London courses are held at I CAN Training, 4 Dyer’s Building, Holborn, London EC1 or the London Voluntary Sector Resource Centre, Holloway Road, N7.

Forthcoming courses organised in London include:
Upward spirals in early years language development, February 10
A practical approach to communication disabilities, February 22
Teaching social skills, March 7
Dyspraxia: fundamentals and practice, March 13
Developing communication through music, March 28
