Exhibitions and presentations, March to May

Living Medical Traditions (opening March 3), extensive collection of Global Medical including a host of never seen before objects from Chinese, Indian, Muslim and African medical traditions. Admission Free

Mobile Phones and the Environment - Antenna Feature (opening March 29), new interactive exhibition showing us what scientists are doing to design phones that are better for the environment and improve how phones can be recycled. Admission Free

Pure Iceland (closing April 23) exhibition looking at Iceland's plan to become completely self-sufficient by using hydrogen as its main source of energy, removing any need for using fossil fuels and polluting the atmosphere. Admission Free

Pixar: 20 Years of Animation (opening April 1) is a new exhibition providing artistic and technological insight into Pixar studio's movies including Toy Story, Monsters, Inc. and Finding Nemo. featuring 250 drawings and paintings, 50 sculptures plus computer generated multi media artworks. Nuclear Waste: Can You Handle It? (closing April 23), editorially independent exhibition encouraging visitors to think about the issues around nuclear power. Admission Free

Building to the Limits (closing March 19) demonstrates how the people behind some of the world's newest buildings are using science, engineering and innovation to create the buildings of our future.

Honey We're Killing the Kids (closing May 2006), run in conjunction with the BBC3 programme, examines the diets and lifestyles of unhealthy children and uses new imaging technology to predict how they will look as adults if they continue living in this way.

Inside the Spitfire: Personal Stories of Britain's Most Famous Plane (closing January 2007) See inside the legendary a deconstructed Spitfire and hear the story of designer RJ Mitchell and the thousands of people who built and flew these planes. Admission free

Plus films at the Science Museum IMAX 3D Cinema:

Deep Sea 3D (PG) (opening March 3). Swim with sea turtles and dodge the tentacles of a giant octopus when you dive in to the magical 3D underwater adventure, narrated by Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet.

Sharks 3D (U) underwater voyage to observe one of the most endangered and fascinating creatures.

Magnificent Desolation: Walking on the Moon 3D (U) produced and narrated by Tom Hanks.
