Grants of up to £400 are available to schools and colleges for small-scale projects or events linked to the teaching or promotion of physics. Projects linked to astronomy, space and particle physics are particularly encouraged. Ideas for using the funds might include: running a school/college-based Science Week activity, purchasing materials outside normal department resources or organising a visit with a working physicist. The grants are awarded by the Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council and the Institute of Physics.
