 | | High calibre, mature students, aged 18-25, with French A-level and genuinely interested in French life, culture and the teaching profession are invited to apply for a local government scheme approved by Education Nationale. Placements are available in colleges and Lycées which cater for ages 14-21 and in primary schools. Contracts run from October 1 to May 31. Students are required to spend 20 hours a week teaching and in return receive full training and support, free board and lodging in local families, 185 Euros allowance per month (before deductions), free time on Wednesdays, weekends and school holidays, the opportunity to learn French.
