Practice-a-thon scheme for young musicians - ongoing
Music teachers around the UK are being encouraged to take part in a fundraising campaign designed to get children and young people practising their instruments more often. The ‘Practice-a-thon’ scheme is run by CLIC Sargent, the children’s cancer charity and has the backing of violinist Nicola Benedetti, Young Musician of the Year 2004.

Children and young people are sponsored to practise their musical instruments over a two week period. The money raised will be used to provide ongoing support for the thousands of children and young people, and their families, affected by cancer or leukaemia.
