LEA governor interfering in governor business (19/07/06)
Question: If an LEA governor is interfering in governor business where he has no business, what can be done?

Joan Sallis replies: LEA governor or not, no governor should be able to act alone and it is the job of colleagues acting together to discipline their members. In the last resort you could complain to the appointing body, i.e. the LEA. An LEA governor does not have any special authority unless he or she is chair. But I do not know the rights and wrongs of the action and without more facts that is the best answer I can give.
