As part of the 'Understanding Slavery' initiative the National Maritime Museum is running schools sessions exploring the history and legacy of the Transatlantic Slave Trade, suitable for Key Stage 3 students.

In addition, an INSET is offered on June 29th, where teachers can develop confidence and expertise in teaching this topic. Cost: £35.

The museum has also developed an interactive e-learning resource, Freedom, about Britain and the Transatlantic Slave Trade for students and teachers of KS3 History.
