The USA's largest international-exchange program linking US schools and teachers worldwide, the VIF Program, has expanded its eligibility requirements to offer the professional-development experience of teaching in US schools to new UK teachers and recent graduates of teacher-training programs.

The opportunity results from a joint initiative between the VIF Program and the US Department of State to increase international-exchange opportunities for all qualified UK teachers. 

VIF has expanded its program to include new UK teachers and recent teacher grads in these subject areas:

· Elementary education
· Languages such as French, Spanish and Mandarin
· English as a Second Language (ESL)
· Mathematics
· Science
