From 7 – 23 July, Shelter is asking pupils and teachers to bake or buy their favourite cakes, have fun getting together to eat them, and make a £1 donation.
Teachers can organise a Cake Time event during break, in tutorial, or in the playground after school.
At www.caketime.org.uk/schools there are loads of great fundraising ideas, along with scrumptious cake recipes and fabulous Cake Time bunting to download.
Encourage your pupils to get creative in the baking and decorating department, and they could be in with a superb prize. Email pictures of the children’s most spectacular creations to schools@shelter.org.uk and you could win afternoon tea for your class trip the Science Museum, or at a top London café.
