British Dyslexia Association
The British Dyslexia Association (BDA) represents and supports dyslexic people. Our vision is of a dyslexia friendly society that enables dyslexic people of all ages to reach their full potential. We offer advice, information and help to dyslexic people, their families and the professionals who support them, through our national Helpline. BDA Training delivers courses nationwide for teachers, teaching assistants and parents. We believe that all teachers should be able to identify which children in their class are likely to have SpLD and be able to support them appropriately. The BDA’s Education Team works hard to influence Government policy to make better provision for dyslexic children in mainstream schools. To support the BDA’s vision of a dyslexia-friendly society, we run the Quality Mark scheme. The Quality Mark is a ‘kite mark’, which provides recognition that an organisation is dyslexia-friendly.
