http://www.podcastrevision.co.uk is home to Barrie McDermid and the Punctuation Show and the English Show - a cross between a rock concert, a quiz show and an English lesson. Having provided free audio resources to help with the English Language an Literature syllabus, I now target basic skills. I developed the Punctuation Show, which involves songs, explanations and quiz style questions, followed by a cartoon sketch about different punctuation marks. I've been able to take this show to both Primary and Secondary schools (I’ve even performed the show as a CPD for staff) and it is proving extremely popular with all who see it. I want to put some fun into literacy and the Punctuation Show really does this in excess.
