Moved from Scotland to go to Trent Park teacher training college in Middlesex in 1974. Started teaching in a Secondary school in East Ham as a science teacher. Left in 1982 to have a baby and returned to part-time teaching after a five year break. I was a trained primary teacher so took up a post in a local Church of England primary school where I was the Science co-ordinator. In 2001 I applied for a post as ICT coordinator in a three form entry Infant school in Upminster Essex. I was head of Year 2 for 8 years and as ICT coordinator was always looking for new and exciting ways to use technology to engage children . I took early retirement in 2010/2011 and now do some supply teaching in 3 local schools.
