Budget a Garden Mystery

Overall rating 4 out of 54.6 (5 ratings)

Last updated 21 April 2013, created 11 July 2012, viewed 1,643

In this mystery you have to use all the information given to calculate how much it will cost to renovate my garden, and also how long it will take to do the work. Mysteries are great for getting pupils to think laterally, and this one uses skills in fractions, percentages and area. Feedback always welcome.

A great task although the answer sheet contains an error which messes up a number of calculations. The area of the trapezium should have been 1200 m2.
