Stories with Fantasy Settings, a TESiboard Narrative Fiction Collection

Fantasy Stories often start with a real-world, everyday situation but take an imaginative turn where the children embark on an adventure, usually with a magical element. These stories will help develop pupils’ imagination, giving them ideas for their own stories or imaginative play.

TESiboard have produced original fantasy stories which feature a brother and sister who visit a fantasy parallel world through a special tree in their garden. During their adventures, they meet and help various magical characters.

Both interactive books have two versions, one with simpler text and sound support for younger or emerging readers, and another to ‘read alone’. All TESiboard fiction books include the Magic Wand feature: click to separate the characters and props from the background on each page, for pupils to rebuild the scenes in their own way.

The supporting resources help you to look at the stories in more detail, by focusing on the characters, scenes and structure. Please note that some of these activities are now part of TES iboard+
