Description

This is my own series of lessons and activities based on the idea that Dr Evil is going to attempt to take over the world by creating an Ominiscity device that spreads waves of ominousness across the earth creating fear. Only YOUR class can stop him. Embed the first video into a powerpoint and have Dr Evil suddenly appear in the middle to kick start it all, and then your children will be ordering henchmen by their decimals (or whatever you choose) to create a Most Wanted list, order them on Evil Street, create ID cards, kit out your spies, work out catering for the evil convention, create a model of the device, and eventually destroy it. At the end Dr Evil’s final video show the kids they have defeat him…for now at least.

    Wonderful resource. I've used similar resources for MAT extension work, and they work brilliantly. The video clip is marvellous at establishing that suspension of disbelief taht gets the children fully immersed - they really are saving the world. Many thanks for this resource, and pass on my congratulations to your teenage son.

    Dear Mrs Nibbles,

    I have downloaded the various parts of your fabulous resource but before I reinvent the wheel, I was wonding if you had resource sheets for the 'Travel Information', 'MO sheet', 'Map coordinates' and 'Answer sheet' as detailed on the Tuesday lesson plan for the week beginning 12th May.
