Recycle old materials especially lab equipment

Science | Published 23 June, 2011

Send old laboratory equipment, textbooks, library books to deprived schools in Africa.

LABAID and SCHOOLAID

Time to spring clean before the end of term.
Collect all teaching materials including pens, pencils, rubbers, sharpeners that have accumulated.
Library books - un-torn and not too scruffy.
Laboratory equipment - those old analogue things, magnets, measuring cylinders etc.
Text books especially maths and science books
Old reading schemes.
Pack lab equipment separately. Go online to http://www.thetoyshop.com/toyshop/storefinder/browsestores.jsp find your closest Entertainer Toy store and arrange to drop it off, they then deliver it to the charities.
Label lab equipment LABAID - for Ximhungwe and other teaching materials SCHOOLAID - for Ximhungwe.
I am trying to get equipment to 20 schools in Mpumalanga South Africa, the 10 high schools I am helping do not have any lab equipment at all. These two charities are helping me. You will be helping 20 000 kids!

Ask all your teaching friends to do the same.
