During this two-part course you will gain ideas on how to develop an outstanding D&T curriculum in the areas of ECT and Product Design. They will see how modern communications technologies such as ipod touches and ipads can be used to enhance learning in D&T, and how The Radclyffe School has developed its outstanding provision at both KS3 and KS4. They will have the opportunity to discuss the current national picture and the place of D&T within this, and how a modern curriculum fit for the 21st century learner could and should look. They will see innovative and creative learning experiences developed for both KS3 and KS4. They will also see how the school has adapted to the required elements of controlled assessment work, in order to produce independent learning, creative outcomes and excellent results.

4pm – Coffee, delegates receive ipod touch with session aims and objectives via barcode app
4:15 – Overview of national picture
4:25 – What makes an outstanding D&T faculty/department?
4:45 – Developing KS4
5:20 – Developing KS4
5:45 – Plenary/QA. How to join the on-line session on 6th May
