Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots Summer Term Competition

Whole school | Published 8 May, 2012

Win the chance for your class to meet Dr. Jane Goodall!

Roots & Shoots is the education programme of the world famous primatologist and wildlife campaigner Dr Jane Goodall. Central to Jane’s beliefs is that every child or individual can make a difference every day to the planet in which they live.

This Summer term we are asking teachers to post a story on the Roots & Shoots website about an activity their class has undertaken that has implemented a practical, positive change for people, animals and the environment.

Every post will be automatically entered into this term’s Roots & Shoots Award competition - and all teachers will receive an Awards certificate for their class.

The best posts will go on to compete in our Annual Roots & Shoots Award Scheme for the chance for your class to meet Dr. Jane Goodall in person at our Annual Awards Ceremony in London in December.

To enter, simply register your school on the Roots & Shoots website (www.rootsnshoots.org.uk) and you will receive a free school resource pack. Either complete one of our featured activities for this Summer term or tell us about one of your existing projects. Closing date for entries is August 1st. Good luck!
