Brighton College Al Ain
Brighton College Al Ain opened its doors in September 2013 in the city of Al Ain in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the Garden City of the United Arab Emirates. It is the second of Brighton College’s sister schools in the UAE and is housed in a purpose-built, iconic 28-acre campus located one hour from the cities of Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Brighton College Al Ain boasts state-of-the-art facilities and is committed to becoming one of the leading schools in the Gulf.
Our co-educational Junior School caters for pupils in FS1 up to Year 4, alongside the Boys’ School and Girls’ School for children from Years 5 to 9. Years 10 to 13 will open from 2014 and by 2017 the College will educate 1,200 pupils across the full 3-18 age range, offering a British-style curriculum leading to GCSEs and the IB Diploma/A-levels. Brighton College Al Ain is an academically selective school and admits pupils based upon the outcomes of an entry assessment.
Head Master’s Welcome
A warm welcome to Brighton College Al Ain, a new British-curriculum school following in the footsteps of Brighton College Abu Dhabi and Brighton College, the UK’s Independent School of the Year 2011-12. The Brighton College family of schools stand for academic excellence, where every pupil is valued and every success shared and celebrated.
We bring to Al Ain the values of a British-style independent education: our aim will be to turn out young men and women who are intellectually curious, confident and able to respond to the rapidly changing world in which they will pursue further study and work.
From the very youngest child to those about to leave to study at university, every pupil is provided with a demanding and enjoyable Brighton College education, developing the whole person through academic work, pastoral care, sport, performing arts and enrichment activities. Team and group success will be celebrated at every opportunity, and individual pupils praised for their own achievements and efforts every day. Brighton pupils will not shy from adversity but instead will seek challenges in all that they do.
