1.1 Teaching Assistant with British Sign Language Qualification Level 1 or 2

Temporary 15 hours per week (12.15 - 3.15 pm Monday - Friday)

The Governors are delighted to be able to advertise this post to support a profoundly deaf pupil.

The role will require someone with a positive attitude and the ability to recognise and celebrate small steps in achievement. The role will involve working with an individual pupil within our Early Years setting. Previous experience of working with other agencies would be an advantage. The candidate must have a minimum of BSL Level 1 and be prepared to undertake BSL Level 2 training. They should have experience of working with severely language impaired children.

The successful applicant must also be flexible and be able to work well as part of a team and on their own initiative.

Please be aware that there will be occasions when the post holder may be required to attend meetings, training etc outside of their usual working hours.
