The South Dartmoor Academy was established in April 2011 and brings together the secondary school of South Dartmoor Community College and four of its feeder primary schools, Ashburton, Buckfastleigh, Ilsington and Widecombe in a multi-academy trust. It is now looking to recruit an exceptional Academy Business Manager to complete the Academy's leadership team and help shape its future direction. It is envisaged that this role will evolve over time in line with the development of the Academy.The Academy Business Manager will be responsible for the strategic direction and operational delivery of all aspects of finance, HR, ICT, administration, estate management, catering and operations support, as well as maximising income generation for the Academy. This will ensure that the resources of the Academy are deployed effectively and efficiently to support the successful academic performance of all students. The Academy Business Manager will also perform the function of Company Secretary for the Academy.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and possess either a professional accountancy or business management qualification with experience of managing budgets and resources within a large organisation.
