About the role:

We are seeking to recruit an excellent Additional Learning Support/Inclusive Learning Manager to act as a specialist in either, Literacy, Numeracy, ESOL, Dyslexia, Disability and to act as trainer/advisor on training and development. You will ensure that there are effective procedures in place for identifying students' additional support needs; that support is planned for, in place promptly, reviewed, and that it is of a high quality. You will ensure ALS support is delivered and determined in the designated sites in an equitable way so that students are not disadvantaged and you will manage a range of staff and provision to its highest standards. You will work with the Head of ALS and Inclusive Learning to manage additional learning support and have oversight of ALS in two Centres to ensure standardisation across all five Centres.

About you:

With a degree or equivalent qualification, you will have a teaching qualification and appropriate professional qualification in either, Dyslexia, Numeracy, Literacy, Disability or ESOL or be willing to acquire one. You will have significant experience as a successful leader and manager within FE and extensive experience and proven success in supporting students with additional needs. You will have a good knowledge and understanding of assessment and diagnostic procedures and the ability to give leadership, guidance and support to teaching and support staff in order to further good practice, including delivering training sessions. You will have excellent planning, organisational, administrative and IT skills, including the ability to work to deadlines and liaison with external agencies.
