Permanent, Part-time 20hrs pw, term time only

Would you enjoy the hustle and bustle of a busy primary school? Do you have excellent skills in ICT? Do you want to work school hours in term time? If so, we may just have the right job for you.

We are looking to recruit an Administrative Assistant to work in our school office supporting our Finance Secretary, commencing Autumn 2014. The role would include a range of administrative tasks and handling of payments. You will need to be highly organised, efficient, discreet, good at meeting the public and have a good sense of humour. Applicants should have strong skills in English and Maths.

This position is for 20 hours per week, days and times negotiable. We would expect the successful applicant to have some degree of flexibility in their working pattern and be available to work additional hours from time to time.

Previous experience or knowledge of a school office environment would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.

We are a thriving, happy, Church of England primary school with a fantastic team of dedicated staff and delightful children.

If you think you have what we are looking for, we very much look forward to hearing from you!

Please apply using the documents below and in the meantime have a look round our website to get a flavour of our school.

School Description:We are a Church of England (Aided) Village School of 150 children. We are situated on the top of a hill adjacent to a beautiful old Norman church in St Ippolyts village, on the outskirts of Hitchin.

We are proud of the warm, vibrant atmosphere in our school, with every teacher going 'the extra mile' to ensure all children receive a rich, stimulating primary education. We have an excellent Governing Body, a committed and hard-working PTA and are well supported in the local community.

Buildings are a mix of old and new, the original school being Victorian with modern extensions greatly enhancing the facilities; the school is organised into five mixed age classes and all teachers have the support of a Teaching Assistant. Our most recent Ofsted inspection in November 2013 found us to be good with outstanding behaviour & safety.

Applications close at noon on Thursday 21st August 2014
Interviews will be held on Thursday 28th August 2014
