Job overview
For some professionals, giving children the best start in life isn't just a job, it's a passion
At the London Borough of Barnet, we believe every child has the right to the highest standards of education. We're committed to making sure that children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities and their families receive the finest levels of advice and support. That's why we're now recruiting for six new members of staff to join our dedicated multidisciplinary team.
Working with pre-school and key stage 1 children who have physical and/or complex medical disabilities, in this stimulating role you will provide support and training to educational staff in mainstream schools. As a qualified teacher with experience of teaching pupils with special educational needs, you will ensure the children have access to a balanced curriculum. You will also perform risk assessments, advise on specialist equipment needs and collaborate with health service staff in running the Local Authority School for Parents.
The above role offers the chance to be part of something really unique. We'll reward your hard work with a generous benefits package and support your career ambitions to our full capabilities, just as you'll be supporting the future of Barnet's children. So contact us today and join a team that's constantly striving towards the achievable ideal that every young person deserves a fair start in life.
