We are seeking an Apprentice Teaching Assistants to work at Tickton Primary School. This post provides an opportunity to undertake an Intermediate (Level 2) apprenticeship framework in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools.
The apprentice will be working with a dedicated team to support pupils access teaching and learning, helping to provide a learning environment that is stimulating and interactive. The role will also involve specific one to one work with a pupil in Reception Year, supporting him in tasks, helping him integrate with fellow pupils and developing his speech, language and communication skills (including support across lunchtime and breaks). The apprentice will also work with other pupils in the school to help them support this pupil too.
Tickton Primary School currently has 219 children on roll aged 4 - 11 and aims to help each child fulfil their potential by providing them, within a Christian ethos, a broad education of the highest quality in an excellent environment that has been improved over the past ten years.
The ideal person will be willing to work within a school environment, be patient and be willing to work alongside and support a new pupil to the school. They also must be able to demonstrate the competencies detailed in the person specification. Applications are welcomed from those who have not attained this qualification or a Level 4 qualification or above. Those who have attained this level will not be considered.
