A qualified, talented and dynamic Art Teacher is required to join our Art and Photography department from September 2014. The ability to also teach photography is an advantage.
We require a committed and enthusiastic practitioner who is keen to develop their teaching and learning skills. You will be expected to teach across all Key Stages and ability groups, and to be actively involved in our extra-curricular programme.
The Art and Photography department is dynamic and ambitious and students are taught through a variety of different teaching styles and methods. Independent work and outcomes is usually adopted but there are opportunities for small group and whole class projects, where students can collaborate with others, on projects in two and three dimensions and on different scales. Each student is encouraged to develop their own ideas and interpret these in an individual way.

The Brakenhale School is an 11 –19 mixed comprehensive school situated on the southern side of Bracknell. The majority of our students are local coming from a number of different housing estates and we enjoy positive links with our main feeder primary schools. There are currently 1030 students on roll although this number is projected to rise as a result of the school’s increasing popularity with parents.
