Clifton College leads the way as one of the best Public Boarding Schools in the country. We offer day places, flexi and full boarding places. Bristol businessman Dr John Percival, who championed the benefits of science, diversity and the education of women, founded Clifton College in 1862. The College has since fostered the talents of students including General Douglas Haig and Olympic hockey gold medallist Lily Owsley. The NSPCC had its first meeting on the school’s grounds.

Clifton College Upper School is housed in historical buildings, such as the Grade II-listed Percival Library, but it boasts state-of-the-art sporting facilities, including 24 tennis courts and an Olympic-standard hockey pitch.
