Job overview
These are key appointments in the Schools Commissioning Directorate offering candidates who are passionate about the achievement of children with SEN the opportunity to shape and develop outstanding practice across three London Boroughs. The successful candidates will be joining an enthusiastic and ambitious team, who are committed to working collaboratively with schools, parents, health commissioners and other partners to take forward the new Children and Families Bill legislation, adopting a different, more outcome focused approach to SEN.
Children?s services in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster City Council are delivered in partnership across the three boroughs. It?s an ambitious undertaking and represents one of the most intriguing and challenging opportunities in local government today. We anticipate that the initiative has the potential to deliver savings of over £11 million in total, but it?s also an opportunity to challenge established ways of working, to work more closely in partnership than ever before, and to share best practice on a much wider scale.
All three boroughs have a tradition of delivering good and outstanding services, but we aspire to further improve outcomes for children. It?s an exciting time to be here. If you thrive on innovation and are motivated by the chance to create a new benchmark in service provision, then this role offers an unrivalled opportunity for you in your career development.
