Assistant Head Teacher - Leader of Learning, Waltham Forest

Ainslie Wood is a two-form entry primary school, with a 40 place nursery. We are forming a new leadership team with a transformational agenda and we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Assistant Head Teacher with vision and energy to lead improvements in progress and attainment for all our pupils.

Our new Leader of Learning will be in charge of outcomes and progress. This new post offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious leader to steer the team who focus on the learning elements of the school, with a sole focus on improving standards. The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom teacher who understands how to use personalised learning techniques to facilitate accelerated learning.

Applicants should be:

• A person with proven skills and experience in leading a key area of improvement
• A positive and proactive team leader who has good interpersonal skills
• An innovative, creative and strategic thinker who is able to turn ideas and opportunities into successful practice
• Passionate and always positive with a warm sense of humour and the ability to organise, motivate and lead others to reach the highest possible standards

This is a key position and the successful candidate will have the drive, inspiration and vision to lead staff in supporting our children and families to consistently raise standards.
