Birchensale Middle School is a popular and thriving middle school. It is an open and friendly school where each individual pupil is important to us.

We now have a new vacancy for an Assistant Headteacher, who will play an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team, with specific responsibilities for Behaviour and Pastoral Care helping to make a real impact on the development of our ambitious school.

We are looking for someone with the drive and energy to build on and contribute to current strengths across the school and help move the school forward on its continuous journey of improvement.

The successful candidate will work closely alongside the Headteacher to lead the delivery of outstanding levels of pastoral care and behaviour development strategies, ensuring pupils are supported in a way that maximises their capacity to learn, in a positive, secure and happy environment where each pupil can thrive and flourish. You will use your inspirational leadership to set high standards from the outset and implement practices and programmes so they are maintained and embedded. Your relentless enthusiasm will motivate and support other staff and encourage a shared understanding of the contribution they can make to all aspects of pupils' lives.

Birchensale Middle School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational middle school in Worcestershire serving students from the age of 9-13 years. The middle school is situated in Redditch and has approximately 600 students on roll.

Birchensale Middle School runs a successful breakfast club that was identified as good by Ofsted.
