We are looking for an organised and energetic Assistant Headteacher to drive the new school curriculum and assessment systems. This is a new post in our growing school. The successful candidate needs to:

  • Model consistently good and outstanding classroom practice
  • Develop, implement and monitor the curriculum across the school
  • Lead others to ensure the curriculum challenges and excites our children
  • Ensure assessment and moderation systems are accurate, rigorous and robust across the school

We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational leader to join our creative and dedicated team. The successful candidate will be a member of the leadership team with the responsibility for curriculum and assessment across the school. The role is non class based with some targeted teaching of key groups.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to an inclusive, theme based curriculum which incorporates a wide range of real life experiences for the children. This exciting and challenging role will include working alongside subject leaders and class teachers within the school to secure high standards of learning and teaching in order to accelerate progress and improve outcomes for every child. The post holder will also support the development of new initiatives and continuing professional development of staff in relation to these. Experience of leading a core subject is essential. Teaching experience across a range of age groups would be a considerable advantage.
