Responsible for all aspects of inclusion, required for September 2015

We have created a dynamic and effective Strategic Leadership Team. We are now seeking a new member of our team to replace our highly valued colleague who will be retiring in August 2015.

As AHT for inclusion you will have full delegated authority for the leadership & management of all aspects of this crucial area of school life. This includes a focus upon closing the gap in attainment & progress for disadvantaged pupils, which would include the effective use of the Pupil Premium.

You will also be the Designated Officer for Safeguarding as much of the associated work connected with safeguarding occurs within your team. Your role will be non -class based.

To fulfil this role, it will be essential that you already have some leadership experience. It would also be desirable that you have taken part in a leadership development programme in the recent past (preferably via the National College).

Equally, due to the nature of the role, an up to date knowledge and understanding of inclusion and safeguarding matters in school are also essential.

As a leadership team we are very proud of how well our school has improved in the recent past. We have children who love learning and we now have an able staff team who enable high quality learning to occur.

The inclusion team now includes the following roles;

• Family Workers
• Readiness To Learn Supervisors
• Sports Coach
• Behaviour Support

Due to the excellent leadership and management of the current post holder, this is now a very collegiate team of dedicated professionals.
