St Edmund Campion Catholic School is a dynamic and innovative Catholic Secondary school with a growing Sixth Form. The school was judged as 'Good with Outstanding features' during the most recent OFSTED Inspection (November 2011) and serves the Catholic community in the north of Birmingham and has just over 1000 pupils aged 11 - 18 on roll.

The role of Assistant Headteacher is to support the Headteacher and Governors in shaping the strategic direction and ensuring the effective running of the school with responsibly for the Safeguarding and Pastoral Care of Students. The successful candidate will have strategic oversight of the school's behaviour for learning policy and will line manage four Heads of House, the non teaching pastoral support team and the school's alternative education provision in the Pope Francis House. The school introduced vertical tutoring in September 2013.

The successful candidate will be supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school.

The school is licensed to deliver the OLEVI Programme which involves training for good and outstanding teachers. Opportunities for further professional development will be encouraged.
