We are seeking an outstanding Assistant Headteacher/Science Faculty Leader to join our very successful 11-18 school. You will work with the Head of Science to continue the significant improvement in our Science results. At the same time you will be a key voice on the SLT, shaping whole school policies and procedures to facilitate our aim of creating a truly outstanding school. You will take on responsibility for a number of whole school initiatives. You will also have an exciting opportunity to be part of planning and then leading our new Science centre that the school is committed to complete as one of the priorities of our campus redevelopment project.

The proximity of the Silicon Roundabout and the Tech City not only inspires our students to achieve well and pursue a career in STEM related businesses but also creates many exciting opportunities for our students to gain some first-hand experience and establish links with the scientific world of the local community. We are looking for a talented and ambitious practitioner who will see this potential, forge successful relationships with the local industry in order to provide the students with first-class experience and skills to enter further education or the global employment market.

In 2013, the school was one of the highest attaining schools in the country. The GCSE students achieved 82% 5A*-C including English and maths. At A level, the students achieved a 100% pass rate and 55% of the grades were at A*, A or B.
