Royds Hall is a successful and very popular community school catering for approximately 850 students aged, currently, from 11 - 16. We have recently extended our age range to become a through school for ages 4-16, commencing September 2014 with our first intake of children in Reception. We are a Co-operative Trust school and our community benefits through excellent links with our trust partners, The Science Centre at Sheffield Hallam University, Huddersfield New College, Huddersfield Town Football Club, Holmfirth Fair Traders Association and the University of Huddersfield

The successful candidate will ensure all students achieve excellent outcomes by developing and managing school-wide systems and processes to track students' progress and ensure implementation of effective intervention strategies where appropriate to meet the needs of all students.

They will ensure the provision of an appropriately relevant and differentiated pastoral curriculum which raises aspiration and enables all students to achieve excellent standards in all areas.

Royds Hall Community School

is a successful and over-subscribed through school providing high quality education for 1200 children from age 3 to 16 across three sites, with 11-16 students based in the Wilson Building, 4-11 at Luck Lane Primary and 3-11, including nursery, at Beech Primary. Our new primary building on the Luck Lane site opened in September 2016 where numbers will grow to 420 by September 2020 as new groups of reception children join the school.

We are the Kirklees Specialist Provision Hub for students with Speech, Language and Communication Need. Our school is enriched by its diversity. Approximately 40 per cent of students are from various ethnic minorities and, with more than 26 languages and 30 countries represented in school; we take great pride in our role at the heart of the local community.

We are an active member of the Aspire Cooperative Learning Trust and work closely with local primary schools in the Aspire Trust to develop and share best practice. Our community benefits through opportunities provided through our trust partners, the University of Huddersfield, Huddersfield New College, Huddersfield Town Football Club and the Holmfirth Fair Traders Association.
