Palmer's College is a sixth form college providing post-16 education in South Essex to over 2000 students.

As a result of the retirement of the current Assistant Principal, we are looking for a qualified Accountant with significant previous experience of the Education Sector and its accounting and funding practices.

Reporting to the Principal, this senior post is a key member of the College's Senior Leadership Team and will be responsible for the College's Finances, Funding, Estates and Human Resources, as well as Catering, Reprographics and the Sports Centre. We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, inspiring and motivational individual who will work well with the Senior Leadership Team as well as the Governors of the College.

In return, the successful candidate will receive a competitive salary plus a generous benefits package including a Career Average Pension Scheme, 10 weeks' holiday entitlement, with an additional closure period at Christmas, childcare voucher scheme and continued professional development.

The college was formed in 2017 as a result of a merger between Palmers College (Grays) and Seevic College (Benfleet) and the last 12 months has been a period of very positive change, growth and investment.
