The Littlehampton Academy is proud to be part of The Woodard Academies Trust. Each student belongs to one of five houses called Chapters which provide the highest quality care, developing confident learners and responsible citizens, ensuring nobody is 'lost in the system'.
We are seeking two talented senior leaders to be Heads of Chapter and to take the lead for an area identified in the Academy Improvement Plan in the Behaviour and Safety section. We are looking for skills in the following areas: child protection, attendance, liaison with external agencies and service providers, behaviours for learning, student leadership and student voice, transition, and the development of tutor time. The roles will be shaped in discussion with the successful candidates. The successful applicants will have a proven track record of success in pastoral matters and will have high aspirations, a "can do" attitude and the drive and commitment to make a strong contribution to our senior leadership team.
These positions offer the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the development of our young people and for an ambitious and dedicated individual to gain knowledge and experience.
The Academy is based on the South Coast in West Sussex and opened five years ago. We currently have 1700 students on roll from Year 7 to Year 13 and a state of the art building and facilities. We are on an upward trajectory of improvement but there is still lots to do!
