The School

GEMS Winchester School - Abu Dhabi opened in September 2013 and offers the English National Curriculum to students from Foundation Stage 2 to Year 9. Our students come from a diverse range of backgrounds and nationalities and we are committed to developing those 21st century skills which will enable them to 'be the best they can'. We pleased by the growth in both demand and student numbers as we move into our second year and anticipate a move to a new campus within 2 years.

The Post: Assistant Vice-Principal

We seek to appoint an Assistant Vice-Principal to join The Winchester School from January 2015. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and will assist with the provision of day to day leadership and management to maintain effective delivery of outstanding education. Roles and responsibilities will be determined according to the successful candidate's strengths and the needs of the School.

Successful applicants will have proven, successful SLT experience in Primary or Middle School following the National Curriculum for England.

• Be vigorous in promoting school improvement as well as sharing our commitment to high standards and opportunities for all.
• Be able to demonstrate successful experience of leading and managing staff, promoting and developing approaches to learning
• Have a thorough knowledge of the English NC
• Be able to drive up standards through an appropriate curriculum
• Be able to use systems for assessment and tracking of progress
• Be able to use technology to improve learning in the classroom
• Be an excellent communicator with students, staff and parents.
• Have a proven track record of strategic teamwork - the ability to work together in inspired collaboration. Experience across key stages an advantage
