New opening at Oaklands College

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for all commercial clients. Handling enquiries, preparing quotations, meeting clients face to face and remain as the main point of contact throughout the event. This role will provide a good grounding for those candidates who are thinking of a career in Events Management. The ideal candidate will be a confident, well organised, possess excellent communication skills and be an excellent problem solver. The candidate will work with the Commercial Director and with many college departments to ensure the customer requirements are delivered to a high standard.

You must have the ability to travel extensively in the local area, as this role covers both the St Albans and WGC Campus

In return we will provide you with the opportunity to complete an Intermediate or Advanced Apprenticeships in Sales and Events Administration.

As part of the apprenticeship you will complete the following qualifications (TBC)

  • Level 2/3 Certificate/Diploma in Principles of Business and Administration (Knowledge Component)
  • NVQ Level 2/3 Certificate/Diploma in Business Administration (Competency Component)
  • Functional Skills in Math, English and ICT
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities
  • Personal thinking and learning skills

All the above make up the Apprenticeship framework and will be covered during the working hours, over the 18 months of employment.
