Oaklands College Student Experience department are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated apprentice.

Oaklands College Student Experience department are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated apprentice to carry out administration duties within the team.

This is a full-time role, we are currently recruiting for two apprentices one to work at the St Albans campus and one for the Welwyn Garden City campus.

You will be involved in the day-to-day activities of the department and gain a valuable insight into the work of the department whilst obtaining a qualification. The ability to work as part of a team is essential; you will need to have excellent organisational skills, a desire to learn and a really pro-active approach. You will be providing administrative support to the Contact Centre team, LRC and reception.

Your duties will include:

  • Working on reception meeting and greeting students and visitors
  • Scanning and filing
  • Administration duties
  • Supporting at open evenings and events
  • Answering telephone queries

In return we will provide you with the opportunity to complete an Intermediate or Advanced Apprenticeships in Business Administration.

As part of the apprenticeship you will complete the following qualifications:

  • Level 2/3 Certificate/Diploma in Principles of
    Business and Administration (Taught Component)
  • NVQ Level 2/3 Certificate/Diploma in Business
  • Administration (Practical Component)
  • Functional Skills in Math, English and ICT
  • Employment Rights and Responsibilities
  • Personal thinking and learning skills

All the above make up the Apprenticeship framework and will be covered during the working hours, over the 18 months of employment.
