Ickburgh School is looking forward to moving to a newly built eco friendly school on Kenworthy Road E9, September 2014. We are looking for a Business Manager with excellent communication, finance and marketing skills to make the best possible use of the resources available.

We are a forward thinking, innovative school that is committed to providing an outstanding education for children and young adults with a wide range of learning needs.

It is essential that you have experience of using a financial software package, such as Sims; and Microsoft Office programmes.

You will take specific responsibility for Financial and Payroll Management, Human Resource functions, Facilities/Contract management, Catering, Health and Safety, Best Value and Project Management.

You will assist with the strategic planning, including all financial implications in accordance with the financial regulations, and ensure that the school makes the best possible use of resources available, which includes responsibility for marketing and income generation.

Ickburgh School is a well established all-age, mixed special school for pupils with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties.

Located in the London Borough of Hackney, Ickburgh School has served the needs of local children for over 35 years. The school provides a caring, challenging and stimulating environment which promotes learning. It offers a variety of quality experiences for pupils with severe and profound learning difficulties, including those with Autistic Spectrum Disorders. The school is pupil centred, focusing on individual needs and taking into account the pupil’s home and cultural background.

In September 2014, Ickburgh School will move to new premises in Kenworthy Road. The new school will be larger and offer a wide-range of state-of-the-art facilities. The new building will have many additional features to help support the needs of the children and young people placed there, including:
