caretaker

18.5 hours per week (job share)

We are looking to appoint a caretaker from 20th October 2014 to share responsibility for the care, cleaning and security of our school. The hours of work will be 2:15 - 6pm Mon-Thurs, 2:15 - 5:45pm Fridays.

Amongst other Tuel Lane Infant School duties, the successful applicant will be responsible for:

• Day to day security of the site, including the opening and closing of the premises
• Cleaning all areas of the school to a high standard
• Managing cleaning staff
• Monitoring Health and Safety standards within the premises
• Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance and liaising with contractors working on site
• Working proactively with the headteacher, staff, children and families to ensure the harmonious day to day running of the school.

We require a dedicated individual who is able to use their own initiative yet able to work co-operatively and flexibly as part of a job share.
