Caretaker

30 hours per week

We are a one form entry school in Hatfield and our current caretaker is relocating and we are looking for an equally excellent replacement for him.

We are looking for a full time Site Caretaker who has excellent practical abilities, including a good standard DIY and decorating skills. You will contribute to the team's day to day work, which will involve general porterage, repairs, maintenance and cleaning of the school's premises and equipment.

The ability to work flexible hours is desirable as the successful applicant will be required to open and close the school and work with contractors as well as regular staff members.

An understanding of Health and Safety in the work place is essential, as is your commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Birchwood Avenue is a one form entry primary school in Hatfield. We have a diverse pupil intake which adds to the richness of our school. The school itself is a postwar building in spacious grounds.
