Caretaker

5 hours per week - hours will be flexible to meet the needs of the school, Term time plus 4 weeks

We are looking for a well organised reliable person to take on the role of Caretaker at our small village school with immediate effect. We are seeking someone who takes pride in their work and is flexible and hard working. You will need to be able use your own initiative, have good DIY skills and be happy to be a lone worker.

Duties will include:

• Ensuring the school premises and contents are properly maintained and secured
• Undertaking outside duties, such as general tidying, clearing drains, sweeping leaves and clearing snow
• Carrying out a variety of DIY tasks and general repairs
• Dealing with out of school hours emergencies to ensure that any damage or inconvenience to the school is minimised and undertaking key holder responsibilities covering out of hours access
• Ensuring the site is safely accessible for staff, parents and pupils including during the snow season.
