About British School in the Netherlands - Senior School Voorschoten

Located in The Hague, Netherlands, The British School in the Netherlands (commonly abbreviated to BSN) Is a co-educational international school. First established in 1931, the school is currently arranged across four campuses in the region. Three of these campuses provide teaching provision for the junior school, with pupils aged under 11, with older pupils attending the senior school on another, separate campus. These campuses have seen extensive redevelopment and modernisation over the years, with the most recent having been opened in 2010, and as a result are able to boast of a wide range of teaching and recreational facilities such as a sports centre. The school has around 2300 pupils in total, with a roughly even split between the junior and senior schools. The school curriculum is based primarily off the English National Curriculum, with students sitting GCSE exams at age 16, whilst post-16 students are able to choose between British A-levels, or International Baccalaureates. Courses at the school are taught in English, with provision made available for students speaking this as a second language. Younger students are taught the typical range of subjects expected from a British primary school.
