Barnfield Academies Trust (BAT) Competitive Salary

Barnfield Academies Trust comprises of five academies: two high schools, a primary school, a transitioning middle school (to a primary school) and a studio school. Overall, the academies enjoy good success rates and positive relationships with their students and the communities they serve. We are looking forward to the forthcoming inspections of three of our institutions when we expect to see the hard work of staff rewarded with good assessments.

We are now seeking to appoint our first Chief Executive Officer to provide the Trust with strong senior strategic leadership and who will promote its benefits through this time of significant opportunity and challenges. The successful candidate will build on existing good practice to raise standards, strengthen partnerships, and ensure our schools are well supported to deliver an excellent education to the children and young people of the community.

Role:

  • Responsible to the Board for leading and managing the Trust, creating and articulating an effective vision and strategy.
  • Driving a culture of educational improvement; raising performance, enhancing teaching and learning and ensuring high levels of quality assurance.
  • Accountable for the overall financial viability and sustainability of the Trust and for the development of relationships with key internal and external stakeholders for the benefit of its students and the wider community.

Candidate:

  • An experienced leader with a proven track record in the broader educational arena; committed to the openness, transparency and equal opportunities aligned with the Trust's vision.
  • Successful experience of senior management in a complex organisation, including resource and financial management with strong commercial awareness and understanding of funding streams and cost management.
  • A relationship builder able to articulate and communicate organisational vision and values to a wide range of stakeholders across the wider community.
