The responsibilities of the position include:

  • Leading and managing the subject of Mathematics throughout the whole school;
  • Identifying clear teaching objectives and specifying how they will be taught and assessed;
  • Identifying SEN or very able pupils and providing appropriate support;
  • Inspiring and motivating pupils;
  • Providing high quality teaching and learning and strengthening our current teaching profile;
  • Working effectively as part of a team;
  • Raising attainment levels;
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher with the relevant experience in Mathematics and leadership of a core subject. They will have excellent interpersonal skills to enable them to work in partnership with parents and will manage additional adults within their classroom. They will also have secure and effective behaviour management strategies.
