Job overview

Due to promotion an unexpected opportunity has arisen, and the Governors at Sholing Junior School wish to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated KS2 class teacher to join our school. Ideally we would like the start date to be 3rd November, however we would consider a January appointment for the right candidate.

Sholing Junior school is a friendly, welcoming and inclusive school that was judged 'good' by Ofsted (March 2013). We have a supportive community and the school provides a stimulating, rich learning environment for the pupils.

We are looking for a KS2 teacher with the following skills and qualities:

  • High expectations and a commitment to inspire children to achieve their very best
  • A reflective practitioner who is keen to achieve personal excellence through the provision of outstanding teaching and learning
  • A teacher who appreciates that learning does not just take place in a classroom
  • A creative teacher who has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • A team player who would really enjoy contributing to the life of the school

In return we can offer:

  • Happy, well behaved and enthusiastic children that are a pleasure to teach
  • A supportive and motivated leadership and staff team
  • The opportunity to enhance your teaching experience with support for continued professional development
  • Children who achieve above national average levels at the end of Key Stage 2.
