Classroom Teaching Assistant (2 Posts), Sunderland

Permanent/Full Time 37 hours per week, 39 weeks, term time only

Post 1: Ref 50074884 to start June 2014 for Year 3/4 class
Post 2: Ref 50074885 to start in September 2014 for Year 2 class

Up to Level C (SCP 11-13) (Pro rata to weeks worked)
For excellent candidates Level D (SCP 15-17) may be possible

The Governors of this friendly, caring and happy school wish to appoint 2 Teaching Assistants with experience and a good understanding of child development and SEN, to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team.

The successful candidate will:

• Be qualified at NVQ Level 2, and working towards Teaching Assistant NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Or at Level 3 with SEN qualifications
• Have experience of working in a school environment and be committed to raising standards
• Be efficient, flexible, well organised and an excellent team player
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Be committed to helping the children develop their full potential
• Be interested in developing or have SEN qualifications
• Be involved in after school clubs
• Have excellent references which highlight candidates strengths
