Exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team of staff at a new ARK School in Hastings
We are currently looking for an exceptional Cleaner to join Helenswood Academy, a large all-girls academy in Hastings which joined the ARK Schools network in September 2013.
We are now looking to hire a Cleaning Operative to take responsibility for ensuring that the academy is kept clean, tidy and sanitised in order to maintain an excellent school environment for staff and scholars. The successful candidate will ensure that their work is carried out to the highest possible standard, monitoring and reporting on the condition of each area on a daily basis.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience of cleaning ideally within an educational setting
- be a good team player
- have excellent interpersonal and organisational skill
- be committed to providing a high quality cleaning service

Ark Helenswood Academy is a secondary school for girls aged 11-18, located in St Leonards-on-Sea, near Hastings, East Sussex. The school is part of Ark, an international charity that has 38 schools in Birmingham, Hastings, London and Portsmouth. Ark Helenswood converted to academy status and joined the Ark network in 2013, although its admissions procedures are still overseen by East Sussex County Council.
Ark Helenswood Academy shares a sixth form with a local boys' school, Ark William Parker Academy.
